The course was designed by the renowned Eddie Hackett and currently measures 6,400 yards long, with a par of 70 and standard scratch of 69. The course occupies some of the higest land in the county and features the historic Hill-of-Tara as a backdrop to a number of its holes. The course has no less than five articifical lakes dotted along its length and these cleverly placed water hazards place a high premium on good course management and excellent club selection.
