Carnalea is a cracking golf course situated to the west of Bangor on the shores of the Belfast Lough, offering superb views of the sea. It is a short course with a variety of super holes and the scenery is simply breathtaking.
The club is hidden at the very end of Station Road and was founded in 1927. The front nine is more links while the back nine takes on a more parkland feel. The par three 10th is a superb hole and certainly one of the best in the North of Ireland. All the shorter holes on the course, incidentally, are fairly tough and those who possess a deft touch and clear head will score best. GREEN FEE KEY: £1-£15=£ £16-£30 = ££ £31-£50 = £££ £50+ =££££ |
