This course enjoys quite a unique setting as it is laid out in the former grounds of the Church of Ireland Archbishop of Armagh. A rather imposing limestone obelisk takes pride of place at the highest point on the course. The setting, then, is hardly ordinary but that's just part of the appeal. Trees are the biggest influence here as there are relatively few bunkers to be wary of. Various changes have been undertaken in recent years, as the powers-that-be make sure the course keeps up-to-date with modern standards.
The closing four holes are an absolute delight. Mark down a few pars there and you'll have done very well indeed. GREEN FEE KEY: £1-£15=£ £16-£30 = ££ £31-£50 = £££ £50+ =££££ |
