Course Description

Portarlington is set in stunning parkland in the townland of Garryhinch and was designed by the popular Irish architect Eddie Hackett. Once part of the Warburton Demesne, it is situated about two and a half miles from the town of Portarlington. Originally a nine-hole course, it was, and still is, recognised countrywide as being one of the most sylvan in Ireland. In 1987, the club embarked on an ambitious programme to extend the course to 18 holes. On occasion, you will see deer wandering calmly in the woods close by. A sanctuary for pheasant and mallard duck right in the centre of the course gives a breathtaking view in this most charming 6, 457-yard gem.
