Thurles Golf Club often stages national and provincial tournaments and it is easy to see why. The course, which sits a mile to the south of the Co. Tipperary town, has cracking holes from start to finish, ensuring that even the top players in the country are kept on their toes when they play here. Thurles Golf Club moved to its current location in the 1940s, having earlier been situated at three different venues. The course sits on prime parkland and, according to many, the par-3s in particular will stick in the memory after you've finished your round. Full bar/restaurant facilities are available but if you are planning a visit here then avoid Tuesdays as that's 'Ladies' Day'.
