Strokestown Golf Club is situated beside Cloofinlough lake, which is just outside Strokestown in Co. Roscommon. It's a nine-hole course but don't let that put you off if you are thinking about paying a visit. As is the case with many courses like this, there is no reason whatsoever why you shouldn't enjoy a morning/afternoon/evening here.

In fact, it's a smashing little course and you definitely won't find the par-3s a pushover as they are not only long but are well protected, too. There's hardly a golf course in Ireland which isn't scenic and, due mainly to the prescence of the aforementioned Cloofinlough lake, this is certainly no exception.
