Oughterard Golf Club

Loughrea is located one and a half miles north east of the town on the New Inn Road not too far from the centre of Galway. It is an undulating parkland course with beautiful views of town and the Slieve Aughty Mountains in background.

Renowned course architect Eddie Hackett, one of the most prolific course designers in Irish golf history, re-designed the course during an extension in 1992 with the original layout opening in 1954.

There is a magnificent new clubhouse that's open to all visitors, the perfect place to relax after your round, taking in the magnificent panoramic views of the course.
