Founded in 1898, Youghal is a scenic and testing meadowland course that's worthy of any golfer's respect. From various standpoints there are wonderful views of Youghal Bay, the Blackwater estuary, the medieval town of Youghal and the Knockmealdown Mountains. The back nine is an absolute pleasure to play and features a number of great holes, each more than capable of testing even the most gifted of players. Testament to its challenge is that the course has hosted a selection of golfing union inter-club championships and various local events. |
