Situated 15 miles north of Tralee in County Kerry, Ardfert Golf Club is the perfect place if you're looking for an inexpensive nine-holer which will still provide a decent test of golf. The course has only been open since 1994 but it has attracted its fair share of visitors. A flat but tricky parkland course, it has natural hazards in the shape of a stream and lake and, for 18 holes, measures just over 5700 yards. This is the sort of course, though, which proves that a layout doesn't have to be a monster to make it both challenging and interesting. Visitors are welcome at all times and snacks are available in a clubhouse which has been added in recent years
