There are excellent municipal courses dotted all over the world and Williamstown Golf Club is one of them. This 18-hole course is Waterford's municipal course and it lies a mile south of the city. Like so many courses in the south of the country, it was designed by Eddie Hackett and this particular layout - a rolling parkland course - is a gem.
Another thing it has in common with other municipal courses is that it provides tremendous value for money, both during the week and at the weekend. Club hire is available while the facilities include a practice area and putting green. Teas, coffees and light snacks are available in the clubhouse. GREEN FEE KEY: £1-£15=£ £16-£30 = ££ £31-£50 = £££ £50+ =££££ |
