Former Walker Cup selector and English amateur golf legend Peter McEvoy designed the immensely challenging Seafield layout in Co. Wexford – and there’s no denying that he did a pretty spectacular job. The 18-hole, 6,447-yard tract is designed to championship standards and exacting USGA specifications, which, combined with the natural surroundings, have resulted in a challenging and enjoyable test of golf for players of all standards. The two nines contrast considerably with one another, as the front half winds through mature woodland with a host of water hazards thrown in, whilst the inward stretch plays back along the coast and, in the case of the 11th and 17th holes, along some dramatic cliff-tops. It truly is quite a place to play! GREEN FEE KEY: £1-£15=£ £16-£30 = ££ £31-£50 = £££ £50+ =££££ |
