Founded in 1907, Borris Golf Club lies at the foot of Mount Leinster, 16 miles from Carlow in County Carlow off the Dublin Road. It is situated within the McMorrough Kavanagh Estate and is a tree-lined course which is quite challenging. "The course has some very interesting views," noted one visitor. "It is friendly, too, as you would be unlucky to lose a ball! You have to play for position as trees do come into play." Visitors are welcome, though it is worth noting that the course is very busy at weekends.
There's a practice ground and putting green, while bar and catering facilities are available in the clubhouse.
