Des Smyth, the popular European Tour player who is now playing on the Champions' Senior Tour in America, designed this 18-hole course which is located three miles from Tipperary on the Limerick Road. A rolling parkland course which was founded in 1994, it commands stunning views of the Galtee Mountains. A stream weaves its way across the middle of the course, adding to the difficulty factor at several of the holes. Keep dry all the way round and you'll deserve a pat on the back! Of the many excellent holes, Smyth has done a particularly good job at the 18th, a 546-yard par-5 where a burn just short of the green should ensure that you take an extra club with your approach.
