East Clare Golf Club is located just five minutes drive from Loch Derg and about half an hour from Shannon Airport. It is a pay-as-you-play course and the club's policy is to welcome visitors at all times. The parkland course, which opened in 1991, was designed by Arthur Spring and he has done a wonderful job in bringing 11 lakes into play on the course. According to many who have played the course, the eighth is a short hole which will "live in your memory" while the 17th and 18th both have water in front of their greens. It is by no means expensive to play here and you'll certainly be impressed by the facilities on offer, both before and after your game.
