Mannan Castle is situated in the village of Donaghmoune near Carrickmacross. Set in rolling farmland, there are great views of the surrounding countryside and onto the drumlins in Monaghan. The course is 18 holes on contoured parkland and is generally flat.Without doubt the signature hole is the par three second. Although only the 13th hardest hole on the course it presents a tricky test.From an elevated tee you hit down onto a small target area that is protected by water at the front. The green itself has a stonewall backdrop and there is a spectacular floral display spelling out Mannan Castle.
