City of Derry has played host to many world-class professional and amateur golfers. Four times winner of the Open Championship Walter Hagen played here in 1937 and was more than enthusiastic about its qualities at the time. The club has had its fair share of famous members, including 1947 Open Championship winner Fred Daly.
Since then not much has changed, though the club is now a 27-hole golfing complex that includes an 18-hole championship course (The Prehen), a 9-hole hillside course (The Dunhugh) and a practice area and putting green. The Dunhugh Course is a fairly straightforward nine-hole parkland course. GREEN FEE KEY: £1-£15=£ £16-£30 = ££ £31-£50 = £££ £50+ =££££ |
