Down countryside and in the shadow of the 19th century Scrabo Tower, which was built as a memorial to Charles Stewart, the 3rd Marquess of Londonderry. The course, which measures in excess of 6,200 yards from the first tee to the 18th green, offers magnificent views over Strangford Lough and the Mourne Mountains and it is enowned for its narrow, gorse-bordered fairways. Incidentally, the first hole is one of the most famous in Irish golf and is a favourite of Ryder Cup hero Christy O’Connor. GREEN FEE KEY: £1-£15=£ £16-£30 = ££ £31-£50 = £££ £50+ =££££ |
