Omagh is one mile from the centre of Omagh and has, in fact, been swallowed up by the town. It has an interesting layout as the two sets of nine holes are separated by a road.
The lower nine runs alongside the Drumragh River giving it some scenic splendour. Despite the fact that many locals prefer the 19th hole, the feature hole here would have to be the par three 17th. It is often commented upon that many a card has gone to the dogs at this hole. It is a narrow hole with little fairway to work with and a large tree protecting the front of the green. Bunkers at the front and back add to the difficulty. GREEN FEE KEY: £1-£15=£ £16-£30 = ££ £31-£50 = £££ £50+ =££££ |
