Known as a challenging but fair, part links part parkland course, Donaghadee will live up to its expectations. Boasting lovely views of the Irish Sea and over to the Scottish coast, Donaghadee throws up a number of surprises more than capable of catching out the unsuspecting golfer. Several water hazards will have to be overcome on certain holes. Host to the Irish boys Championship in 2001, Donaghadee has recently undergone some impressive changes, with roughly 100 new trees and 500 gorse bushes being planted, new water hazards introduced and all bunkers being reshaped and modified. |
