Townley Hall is a nine-hole parkland course located about two miles west of the busy town of Drogheda in the village of Tullyallen. The course itself has a very historical past, as it is situated on the site of the Battle of the Boyne.
Today, however, it is a most peaceful place overlooking the beautiful Boyne Valley with some wonderful views including the famous Newgrange passage grave, built around 3200 B.C., now a major tourist attraction. The course, which takes its name from the nearby Townley Hall, is only six years old and is usually in superb condition thanks to superb year-round drainage.
