A visit to Rathfarnham Golf Club in County Dublin will provide you with an experience you've probably never had before on a golf course.
The reason for that is that this particular course is neither a nine-holer or an 18-holer - it has 14 holes! Originally nine holes - John Jacobs did some work on it in the 1960s - it was extended about a year-and-a-half ago but lack of land prevented the club from getting a full 18 holes. The course is set in the foothills of the Dublin Mountains and is very picturesque. There's a restaurant and bar in the clubhouse but visitors are asked to book a game here in advance.
