Some of the world's greatest and most revered golf courses where designed by the legendary golf course architect James Braid. The five times Open champion was a prolific course designer and put his name to literally hundreds of courses in Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland.
This course, situated just five miles south of Dublin city centre, is a great example of Braid's genius. Roughly laid down 1910 by Mr J O'Brien Butler on the slopes of Kilmashogue, Braid was commissioned some years later to remodel the original design the very best of his work is what you see today.
