Dun Laoghaire, situated about seven miles south of Dublin, is a beautiful suburban layout designed by the legendary golf course architect, Harry Colt.
There have been several renovations through the years, most recently a tree-planting programme, in order to improve what already is a superb design. It is a well-kept parkland course, manicured with extensive trees and provides an interesting test of golf to all levels of player. There are new water features at the 11th, 5th, 8th and 14th holes whilst the par five 18th is featured in the Guinness book of World Records as the hole where Tommy Campbell recorded the longest drive by an amateur golfer.
