Putting

On average, 40 per cent of your shots in a regular round will take place on the putting surface, so don't underestimate the importance of this part of the game.

All good putters have a pre-shot routine, and you should be no different. To watch a truly great putter, keep a close eye on Brad Faxon on the PGA Tour.

Many golf academies and schools have putting facilities where you can practise as long as you want.
