If you consistently strive to improve your game yet see no distinct improvement no matter how many times you play, there is, indeed, a light at the end of the tunnel.

There are a myriad of golf schools, golf clinics, golf development classes and/or academies - whichever way you define them - up and down the country, and they are there for good reason - to help us all get better at the game we love and to take our game in the right direction.

These schools - all listed above - provide training throughout the day and early evening, thus catering for those golf fanatics who happen to work late. Classes run late into the night (including weekends). So, regardless of your work hours, there will be a tuition schedule to suit you. Most of the schools, if not all, offer classes for groups and individuals, both of which have their own merits.

Groups provide the opportunity to learn with others while enjoying the camaraderie and making new golfing companions at the same time. Individual tuition, however, allows you to iron out specific flaws in your game with less distraction. One-to-one tuition is often said to be the best way to cure big problems with your swing, although whichever way you feel most comfortable with is best.

Visiting golf schools is something every keen golfer should take advantage of. Golf has undergone a slight boom in the last decade - thanks to a certain Eldrick Woods - that has seen more people take up the game. In turn, this has reversed the reputation of golf schools. Nowadays, golf schools are no longer solely intended or geared towards elite players. They are for the access and enjoyment of all golfers, irrespective of ability.

Regardless of what part of your game needs adjusting, sharpening or, just plain overhauled, the golf school will be at your beck and call. They do say you should always start from the bottom; therefore it's important that you get the basics right.

Before you visit the above schools/clinics, click on the tips to the right and refresh your memory - it could spring a few surprises.
